By train, then taxi
Nearest stations
Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield are the closest mainline stations, both roughly 25–30 minutes' drive from Lane Head, with fast services from London and Manchester. From either, a taxi or rideshare for the final leg is the practical option — there's no direct public transport out to Onecote.
Taxi & rideshare
Uber operates in the area and can usually reach Onecote within 10–15 minutes, though this varies with time of day and isn't guaranteed. Local taxi firms run out of Leek if you'd rather book ahead.
By air
Manchester Airport is nearest, around 50 minutes' drive. East Midlands and Birmingham airports are both within about ninety minutes.
