Booking & staying
Can I book directly with you, rather than through Airbnb or Booking.com?+
Yes — booking direct gets you the best rates with no booking fees, straight into Jason & Angela's own calendar.
Is there a minimum stay?+
Three nights across most of the year (seven over Christmas and New Year). Mixon View can start any day of the week; Morridge View's short stays must start on a Monday or a Friday.
What are your check-in and check-out times?+
Check-in is from 4:00pm — arrive whenever suits after that. Check-out is prompt at 10:00am.
Is a late check-out possible?+
Sometimes, depending on whether the property's booked for the next arrival — just ask us and we'll let you know closer to the time.
What's your deposit and cancellation policy?+
For bookings made more than six weeks before arrival, a 30% deposit is taken when you book. If you need to cancel, email us as soon as possible — a £35 administration fee applies per booking.
The properties
Is wifi included?+
Yes — fast wifi is included at both properties, around 200Mbps download / 30Mbps upload.
Are linen and towels provided?+
Yes, bed linen and towels are provided at both properties.
Is there a washing machine?+
Yes, both properties have a washing machine. Morridge View also has a separate dryer.
Can I smoke at the property?+
Smoking isn't permitted inside either property — please smoke outside only.
Are dogs allowed?+
Guide dogs and other assistance dogs are always welcome. For other dogs, please contact us to discuss — charges may apply.
Is there an EV charger?+
Yes, both properties have a 7kW EV charger at 30p per kWh, payable at checkout.
Can we book both barns together?+
Yes — combined, Morridge View and Mixon View sleep up to 12, which suits larger family gatherings well.
Are the barns accessible?+
Morridge View has a ground-floor bedroom and level access from parking to the front door. Mixon View's bedroom is up a mezzanine staircase (13 steps), so it isn't suitable for wheelchair users. Full detail is in each property's own accessibility guide.
Food & the area
Do you offer a food or catering service?+
We're building the Lane Head Larder — proper food from a resident chef with 25 years' experience, made in the barn kitchen and waiting in your fridge when you arrive, with puddings from Brownie Heaven two doors down. Coming soon.
Where's the nearest pub?+
The Jervis Arms, a mile up the lane in Onecote — genuinely family run, and the pub we send most guests to first.
How do I get to you — nearest stations, taxis and airports?+
Full detail is on our Contact page, but in short: Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield are the closest mainline stations (25–30 minutes), Uber usually reaches Onecote within 10–15 minutes, and Manchester is the nearest airport (around 50 minutes).
